The Maggini Violin is Palatino's first truly professional violin. Based on a famous Giovanni Paolo Maggini replica from 1834, this violin has a premium spruce top, premium maple back and sides, Hill-style ebony fittings and hand-inlaid double rows of purfling on the top and back.

The Maggini is hand-carved and has an incredibly resonant body that’s also extremely lightweight. This violin has a graceful arching rising from the edges which provides the dark, somber tone musicians expect in a Maggini model.

The stunning hand-rubbed oil varnish finish is hard to miss, and provides excellent tonal projection and a classic antique look to the instrument.

Giovanni Paolo Maggini is considered one the three co-founders of the modern violin as we know it and his instruments are still the most sought-after in the world by all great players. This marvelous replica captures the style, the distinguished look and the noble tone of the original. Availabe in 4/4 size only.
