Jupiter 631 clarinets feature adjustable thumb rests with strap
attachment and neck straps to address the growing concern among teachers
and physicians about problems with joints, tendons and other hand
ailments resulting from students supporting clarinets on their thumb.
The key work on this clarinet is
super strong, much stronger than other leading brand clarinets. The
crows foot sits in a recess in the body, so accidental bending of the
key has been dramatically reduced.
The 631NMO clarinet provides beginners with a bigger sound and
better response. Incorporating a slightly larger .583” bore and offset
trill key configuration, the 631NMO’s improved scale provides better
playability and intonation.
The larger .583” bore creates a freer blowing instrument that
younger players can control with ease. The French offset trill key
configuration provides a bigger sound than the inline key configuration,
while helping students to get accustomed to a feature that is the
market standard on professional clarinets.
