Solid Maple Violin w/ ebony fingerboard & standard-shaped soft-case Traditionally handcrafted with selected woods by skillful instrument makers - Constructed w/high quality rugged materials, they all come with bow and rosin in case. Available Sizes: 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 4/4 Full Size

Violin Sizes: * 1/4 - Age 4 to 7 years old with an arm length of 17.6 to 20 inches. * 1/2 - Age 6 to 10 years old, with an arm length of 20 to 22 inches. * 3/4 - Age 9 to 11 years old with an arm length of 22 to 23.5 inches. * 4/4 or Full Size Violin - For violinists age 9 and above with an arm length of 23.5 and up. This is the size for adults.

Features:

Solid Spruce Top (the only material used for the front plate of the violin because it is the only material that is strong enough to manage the heavy tension of the strings while offering a resonant sound to emanate from the instrument.)
Solid Maple Back & Sides (the best material used for the violin’s neck, sides, and back. It strengthens the stability of these parts and offers excellent acoustical properties and good response.)
Maple Neck & Bridge
Black Metal Tailpiece w/ 4 fine tuners (this is used to fine tune the strings (after the main tuning has been done with the pegs of the violin). It is located at the tailpiece and contains a metal screw which moves against a lever to tighten the strings.)
Ebony Fingerboard (a great material used for the violin’s fingerboard, pegs, tailpiece, and chin rest. It is a dense and dark wood that is very strong but lightweight.)
Hard wood Chinrest & Tuning pegs
