Nice dulcimer for the money! March 14, 2012
Reviewer: Philip Sodemann from Galena, IL United States
I had no idea what to expect when I bought this.  I was replacing a much more expensive model I bought as a kit over 25 years ago.  I just liked the looks and hoped it would sound good for the money.

IT'S FULL SIZE: Yet it's fret board is a smaller scale length...

Nice things: It is solid wood!  Thin, but solid and light and no blemmishes. Sound holes laser cut with wood burning, though a little small. You might have too amp it. Though full size, the fretboard is only 1 1/4", not 1 3/4... yet strums better from being thinner.  Tuning is GCC.

It must be GCC or it's not in tune.  You will need dulcimer strings with loops as replacements, though you can loop guitar strings.

Recommendations: I would use slightly higher gauge strings than normal dulcimer strings because the scale length is shorter like with .12, .12, .14, .26 or she may go out of tune in the upper register...
