Description Specifications
The KCC R31 Violin builds on the solid foundation of the other high quality KCC models. This instrument is made of well aged German tone woods (up to seven years) which enhance the beauty as well as the sound and overall playability. Fine, even-grain spruce tops and beautifully flamed maple back, sides and neck. Premium German ebony fittings, and each with a hand-rubbed oil varnish finish (Oil varnish – usually hand-applied, offers a smoother sound, and is more durable). The optional GVC setup includes Thomastik Dominant or Vision strings and a carbon fiber tailpiece with integrated fine tuners (this is used to fine tune the strings (after the main tuning has been done with the pegs of the violin). It is located at the tailpiece and contains a metal screw which moves against a lever to tighten the strings.). The R31V is a beautiful hand-made European violin with a price that can't be beat.
  • Its top is made from loft seasoned spruce
  • Hand carved with inlaid purfling (The inlaid purfling of the violin appears as lining on the rim of the instrument’s body. Its function is to provide resistance to wear and to cracks that may form at the edges of the instrument.)
  • It sides, back and neck are made from lightly featured maple
  • The fittings, pegs, tailpieces, and finger board are all made from premium German ebony. (Ebony is stronger than rosewood or boxwood but it is also a more expensive material.)
