The Flat Back OUD has no frets with a floating bridge and measures 28" from the nut to the base. The peg box measures 9". It is 13.5 -14" at it's widest point and measures 4" deep, neck length nut to body is 8". Has bracing inside under soundboard and a center sound hole with decorative inlay . Whether you purchase an instrument on-line or in a neighborhood store, manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it. Your instrument has completed a long journey to your home. During this time the strings WILL oxidize and this may shorten their life expectancy and may reduce their sound quality.
