The Cremona SV-1340 violin outfit is a winner with its lustrous oil-varnish that brings out the beauty of the one-piece flamed maple back and Hill-style boxwood fittings that ad a touch of understated elegance. The result is an instrument with a resonant, far-carrying, and free tone.

Features:

Hand-carved and graduated, select solid Spruce top
Hand-carved and graduated, select solid flamed maple neck with matched back and sides
Back is 1-piece
Delicate, precisely inlaid Ebony purfling (inlaid purfling is a sought after feature by violinists because it protects the instrument. Cheaper violins will have painted instead of inlaid purfling.)
Extremely elegant edge work for the aged look
Hand-applied oil varnish (Oil varnish – usually hand-applied, offers a smoother sound, and is more durable)
Hill-style Boxwood fittings (Cheaper violins will have rosewood or boxwood fittings while more expensive violins will have ebony fittings.)
Ebony fingerboard, nut and saddle
Cremona 3-star bridge (Their violins are built to last and have great playability making them great for students)
Perlon Strings (Perlon core strings are more expensive as they produce a warmer tone and are thicker.)
