The SV-1220 by Cremona is a superb "First" violin. Well beyond a begining students instrument in everyway, from its select woods and high-end features, to its astounding tone. It will bring the player a lifetime of enjoyment.

Features:

Hand-carved and graduated, select solid Spruce top
Hand-carved and graduated, select solid mapleneck, back and sides (Flame varies by model)
Delicate, precisely inlaid Ebony purfling (Ebony is stronger than rosewood or boxwood but it is also a more expensive material.)
Extremely elegant edge work for the aged look
Hand-applied oil varnish (offers a smoother sound, and is more durable)
Hill-style Boxwood fittings (Cheaper violins will have rosewood or boxwood fittings while more expensive violins will have ebony fittings.)
Ebony fingerboard, nut and saddle
Cremona 3-star bridge (Their violins are built to last and have great playability making them great for students)
Perlon Strings (Perlon core strings are more expensive as they produce a warmer tone and are thicker.)

LB-19 J.LaSalle Brazilwood bow with genuine unbleached white horsehair (Bows of lesser quality will use Brazilwood (but not a Pernambuco Brazilwood) and are strung with nylon or synthetic hair instead of horsehair.)
