Brazilian Caxixi 5.25 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at the base.  Hand crafted to be the best sounding caxixi.  Following the traditional construction, the base of each caxixi is cut from a dried gourd to give that surprisingly bright, sharp sound. The basketry is hand woven from thin reeds making a light weight, delicate looking instrument.  Caxixi are essential if playing the berimbau, but widely applicable to any style of music. Shake them up and down against the gourd bottom for the high pitched sounds, or back and forth for a softer sound. Each size and shape has a unique sound, try a few.

Lucida Vihuela Round Back Mexican Mariachi Guitar with FREE Carry Bag

The beauty and tradition of Mexican guitars comes alive with the Lucida Vihuela. This finely crafted instrument, made in China, traditionally used as a rhythm guitar for classical and mariachi music, has a signature rounded back, a nato neck and top, and a rosewood nut and fingerboard.

From its selection of choice tonewoods to the hand-painted black and white striping on the raised edges of its top and back, the Lucida Vihuela is authentic in every way. A traditional multi-colored rosette decorates the soundhole and the bridge is highly polished maple. The vaulted back with light colored back strip provides the look, as well as the tone projection, necessary for the truth mariachi sound.
