So far, tried these by replacing the five jingles on a couple of cheap 7"open top tambourines...wow...much brighter with twice the volume. Took them from toys to decent rhythm instruments. Next up was to put 12 in a single row on a 15" bent cedar rim with a Very Tight calfskin head (started this project with much trepidation as this is one of my favorite home-made drums!). Wow no.2...hadn't expected much from just 12 rows of jingles but this thing is to loud to play in my small apt. Very bright. Turns out to be one of the nicest tams' I've played....yes. Lastly replaced the very heavy brass jingles on a Remo Riq and made it a whole lot easier to play (cut the weight by more than half) and it sounds real good to boot. These jingles come highly recommended. Larry
